To Enroll You Will Need To:
Take a literacy test
Department approval to register. Must present proof of hepatitis B vaccination series or sign a waiver, proof of MMR immunizations or be re-immunized and a clear PPD results

Classes Take Place: Evenings & Weekends
Two days a week from 5:30-9:45 PM

Eligibility

High School Diploma or GED Required? No

Other Requirements:
Must be 18+
Must be able to transfer patients from a bed to a wheelchair

Can I get in if I have a criminal record? Yes, unless you have drug charge or felony

Support Services

Some programs offer support services to help you succeed. This program offers the following:
Job placement assistance through college's career transition center
Case Manager to help address barriers

What Happens After Training?

What kind of job will I be ready for? Certified Nursing Assistant or Geriatric Nursing Assistant

Will I get help finding a job? Participants have access to the college's career transition center.

What are my long-term job prospects? Upon successful completion of the program students are also eligible for three credits toward the RN credit program at BCCC.

Certifications: Graduates receive Maryland Board of Nursing Certified Nursing Assistant License, and must take Geriatric Nursing Assitant test through Maryland Board of Nursing
